LAVA Lab received the Excellence Award (우수상) at the 2025 Virtual Convergence Service Developer Contest (2025 가상융합서비스 개발자 경진대회) on September 19, 2025. Building on this success, the lab presented a live demo titled “Situated Embodied XR Agents via Spatial Reasoning and Prompting” at the 2025 ISMAR conference, held from October 8–11.
Demo Summary
The demo introduced a prototype of LLM-powered agents inhabiting stylized virtual spaces anchored to a user’s physical environment. The system utilizes structured scene descriptions to allow agents to perceive, reference, and interact with the real-world room. By integrating voice input, spatial reasoning, and motion planning into a unified interaction loop, the demo showcased grounded communication between users and agents. This research explores the integration of spatially aware AI within daily XR environments.
