Introduction

The Lifelike Avatar & Agent Laboratory (LAVA Lab, previously Motion Computing Lab) at KAIST strives to advance techniques for artificial humans, such as avatars and virtual characters. Our current research focuses are on modeling, animation and simulation of digital humans (avatars, characters, and agents). Our research contributes to digital media contents, such as computer animation, games, VR/AR/metaverse, and emerging fields based on human modeling/simulation, such as digital fashion. The LAVA Lab is affiliated with Graduate School of Culture Technology, KAIST.

Prospective Members

We welcome M.S./Ph.D. students and Post-doctoral researchers who are interested in computer graphics/animation, VR/AR/metaverse, robotics, and related areas. Undergraduate intern positions are open as well. Regardless of the academic backgrounds, candidates with strong motivation and capability to make technical breakthroughs in these areas are welcome.
